Cultural Globalization and Future of ‘Hallyu' in Russia Lee, Gyu-Whan In the past decade, the series of Korean-Wave(‘Hallyu’) has been spread in Russia, especially in the form of TV-dramas, Korean pop-songs and movies. In the era of culture, it is important to know, how cultural competitiveness can be gained in Russia. In this paper, it is analysed; firstly, the interaction between cultural globalization and cultural diversity as the background of understanding of actual condition and concrete contents of Hallyu in Russia.. The second theme of this paper is to analyse, how Hallyu succeeded in Russian cultural market, and what are the main factors of their success. This study arrived at the result that the growth of Russian cultural industry and culture policy of Korea are important factors of success. To get the cultural competitiveness in the Russian cultural market, a formation of network between Korean culture's identity and Russian community is required.
