The purpose of this study was to develop technological hand-on activities related standardization for secondary school students. The hand-on activities were developed by the following three stage. First of all, technological theme related standardization for hand-on activity investigated. Subject of the activities were selected after analyzing curriculum of technology education at the secondary level in the preparation step. Second, objectives of technological hand-on activities for secondary students were set up and four topics were selected and organized for designing technological hand-on activity related standardization in the development step. Finally, pilot and field test were conducted in order to amend and/or complement in improvement step. The theme and/or title of the hand-on activities were 'designing the standard watch', 'designing standard signal lamp', 'designing standardization module structure', and 'designing measuring length equipment'. The technological hand-on activities related standardization were designed for six or seven hours for each subject respectively. Each hand-on activity consists of problem situation, objectives statement, materials and tools, an evaluating criteria, related knowledge, portfolio and so on.

이 연구는 표준화의 개념과 중요성을 알고 표준화를 체험하기 위해 표준화 관련 기술 체험 활동 과제를 개발하는데 있다. 체험 활동 과제는 준비, 개발, 개선 단계에 따라 진행되었다. 준비단계에서는 표준화 체험 활동의 필요성에 대한 요구분석과 주제선정기준으로 필요성, 적합성, 접근성, 수행성을 정하였다. 개발단계에서는 학습자의 수준과 활동의 난이도를 조절하여 학습 내용, 기본 학습 요소에 맞는 주제로 4개의 체험 활동을 선정하였다. 개선단계에서는 개발된 체험 활동 과제에 대하여 표준화 전문가 집단과 중․고등학생을 대상으로 예비시험을 실시하여 수정․보완하였다. 개발된 체험 활동은 표준 시계 만들기, 간이 신호등 만들기, 표준화된 모듈식 구조물 만들기, 표준 길이 측정 장치 만들기이며 각 체험 활동의 구성은 개요, 문제 상황, 제한 조건, 재료 및 공구, 평가 기준, 관련 지식, 포트폴리오로 구성하였다. 이상의 연구 결과를 바탕으로 중등학생들의 표준화에 대한 인식을 향상시킬 수 있는 다양한 프로그램과 학습 자료의 개발이 필요하며 표준화 체험 활동과 관련된 연구 및 교사 연수 프로그램이 확산되기를 제안한다.
