What I wish to show in this paper is to explore the modern meeting, harmony and possibility of mutual understanding within Yangmyeong-hak, the doctrines of Wang Yang-ming and Seon-hak, Korean Seon Buddhism. I raised three questions for the purpose of this paper. First, I looked into the meaning of meeting, harmony and mutual understanding minutely. Through that searching, I discussed the way how we have to approach those problems with Yangmyeong-hak and Seon-hak. Secondly, I introduced the development process of discussion on modern Korean
Yangmyeong-hak. So I inquired the logic of the meeting and mutual understanding with Yangmyeong-hak and Seon-hak. Thirdly, I brought up a concrete problem, 'How should the meeting of them accomplished?'. And I instituted the possibility of their meeting through the
comparison with Jinul's thought as a representative Korean Seon and he doctrines of Wang Yang-ming.

본 논문은 양명학과 선학의 현대적 만남과 융화 및 소통 가능성을 밝히고자 하는 것이 목표이다. 이러한 목표를 위하여 세 가지의 문제를 제기하였다.
첫째, ‘만남, 융화, 소통이 의미하는 것은 무엇인가?’하는 점을 규명하였다. 이를 통하여 양명학과 선학 간에 이러한 점에 대하여 어떻게 접근해가야 하는 지를 논하였다.
둘째, 현대 한국양명학 담론의 전개과정을 소개하고, 이를 통하여 양명학과 선학의 만남과 소통의 논리가 무엇인지를 밝혔다.
셋째,‘양명학과 한국선학의 구체적인 만남이 어떻게 이루어져야 하는가?’하는 구체적인 물음을 제기하였다. 그리고 한국 선학을 대표하는 지눌의 사상과 양명의 사상과의 비교를 통하여 두 사상 간의 만남 가능성을 제기하였다.
