Analysis of Lateral Displacement Reduction about the Tall Building with Plan-asymmetric Y-typed Plan Shape

In spite of the disadvantage of difficulty to control the lateral displacement, the asymmetric plan originated from the quadratic plan is a general tendency due to requirements in the grid planing. Estimating the behavior of tall buildings with the asymmetric plan is more difficult to estimate than the quadratic plan due to the occurrence of torsion. So researches for specific grid plan concerning the high-rise building system are indispensable in a field of structural study. The objective of this study is to quantitatively analyze the effects of factors that resisting from lateral forces in the tall building system with Y-typed plan. This research proceeded to increase the lateral resist rigidity by increasing the core size, the column strength and cross section of column coupled with the outrigger. And the model was also analyzed through methods to add lateral resist factors which is the outrigger and the belt wall. By examining models respectively, comparative research of changes in alternative models was made and effects were analyzed with the priority of displacement and the amount of materials.
