This paper is intended to suggest some reference materials for future development of floating architecture in Korea, by reviewing the planning and utilization of representative European companies. Reseacrh method includes the navigation of related websites and the search of reference documents. The conclusions can be summarized as followings: There are various kinds of floating architectures like residential buildings, commercial buildings and others. Since specialized companies in floating architecture field mostly employ prefabricated & modular system, the parts are produced in controlled condition, transported, assembled& installed at site. Environmentally friendly factors in floating architectures are being applied through the introduction of renewable energy technologies.
