Hyo(filial piety) works mutually and compositely between the four variables - obedience, friendship, persistence, and attorneyship - and helps families and their nations to continue to exist and develop. Hyo is the core ethical matter to be dealt with not only among family members but also in social relationships.
Solomon's ethical system of Hyo in the Bible was working in the power structure of the nation rather than the one in his family system. However, since its political power was distributed in his family members, the ethical system of Hyo in the Davidic Kingdom was based on Hyo practice both in his family and the national power structure.
Therefore, Hyo practice is not limited in parents-children relationship or family members. We should take account of the relational variable of the society and nation. So, Hyo thought was a critical variable for the persistence of Solomon's kingdom. But, for more profound research, we need to study the whole ethical system of Davidic Kingdom to complement and better understand
the Hyo practice in Solomon era.

따라서, 효는 가족의 정체성과 통합성 마련을 위한 노력의 일환으로 부모 자녀간의 관계인 한편 가족 내에만 국한되는 것이 아니라, 그 가족의 영향권에 미치는 사회와 국가까지도 그 관계 변수를 고려해야 하며, 결국, 효 사상은 체계 존속의 결정적 변수임을 솔로몬의 효 윤리 체계를 통하여 알 수 있었다. 그러나 솔로몬의 효행을 단편적 사건에 한정하여 완벽한 분석을 이룬다는 것은 어려운 일임으로, 다윗 왕가의 전체적인 효 윤리 체계의 분석이 이루어질 때, 보다 명확한 솔로몬의 효행에 대한 이해가 가능할 것이며, 그에 따른 활용 모델이 제시될 수 있을 것이다.
