A Study of Appraisal Rules of Gaeseong Industrial District in North Korea

North Korea has launched its economic opening policy in earnest with the beginning of designation of Najin and Seonbong as free economic zone in Dec.,1991 since the collapse of the eastern socialist countries. Since then, South Korea has been expanding its economic exchange with North Korea through the development of Geumgangsan Tourism in 2002 and construction project of Gaeseong Industrial District in 2005, etc.
Considering home and outside circumstance with which North Korea is confronted, it is estimated that South Korea and its counterpart should be unified; otherwise, North Korea's making economic cooperation, development or investments will be expected to be actively carried out. According to this, the issue of reasonable land Appraisal that corresponds with the real circumstances is inevitably expected to come on the surface. In addition, this issue-reasonable land Appraisal is also very important task in case North Korea is unified with South Korea or its progressive opening process.
Therefore, this study is aimed at examining laws related Appraisal that Gaeseong Industrial District which is South Korea and North Korea's economic cooperation is most active is centered on, and presenting a problem awaiting solution from now on.
