This is a study on expression of Neoplastic form in floral art. For this purpose study on Neoplasticism prior to express two works of floral art ｢The tree｣, and ｢The nature｣. ｢The tree｣consists of various size of rectangular, cubical forms. ｢The nature｣accumulated rectangular form of wood material, and painted red, yellow, and blue on small part. Result had acquired by analysing with elements and principle of plastics ｢The tree｣, ｢The nature｣emphasizes cubical rectangular form as repetition of rectangular, horizontal and vertical lines. Layering of Korean paper gave volume and texture to works. Using only black and white and red, blue, yellow gave effect of Neoplasticism's limited color effect for express pure forms. It accomplished the purpose of this study for testifying the technique on using only vertical and horizontal lines for neoplasticism space with accumulation of plane wood material and using only elementary colors. The results of express two floral works and annalize the works give possibility of neoplastical floral works but we need to use more floral plants in the works.

본 연구는 현대미술에 큰 영향을 미친 Neoplasticism을 조사하고 2점의 현대 화예조형 작품으로 표현하였다. 작품 1 ｢나무｣는 크고 적은 5개의 입방체로 표현하였다. 작품 1을 분석 기준에 따라 분석한 결과, 작품 1은 입방체의 반복으로 사각의 형태를 강조하고 한지를 덧붙여 겹겹이 쌓아 양감과 질감이 형성되었으며, 세부의 구체적 표현을 위해 단풍나무와 느티나무로 구성한 표면의 조형적 효과는 나무의 세부 이미지가 강조되고 질감의 변화를 구성하였다. 흑과 백 회색의 단순하고 명확한 명도 대비의 색채효과와 더불어 Neoplasticism의 색채사용의 조건을 충족시켰다. 작품 2 ｢자연｣은 사각의 단위형태의 목재를 쌓아 수직의 입방체를 구성하고 수직을 의미하는 노랑과 수평을 의미하는 파랑, 수평과 수직의 혼재를 의미하는 빨강색의 수직과 수평으로만 구성한 단위 형태의 입방체로 원색만을 사용한 작품이다. 두 작품을 표현하고 분석한 결과는 현대미술의 큰 영향을 미친 Neoplasticism적 표현이 가능한 것으로 들어났으나 화예재료의 사용이 절제되어야 하는 것이 제한점으로 들어났으며 앞으로 더 많은 연구로 절화 등 식물재료의 적극적인 사용을 고려하여야 할 것이다.
