사내기업가정신이 기업의 급진적 혁신에 미치는 영향에 관한 탐색적 연구

This study aimed mainly to understand how corporate entrepreneurship is affected to the business management system for radical innovations. In detail, we separated the radical innovations into innovative products and innovative processes, setting 4 cases from large and small to medium sized companies which had been met to 4 types of standards, and analyzed the data from surveys, interviews, and provided ones through multiple case analysis and demonstrative analysis, mainly on the factors of business management system(Strategy,customer, Employee, Process) and corporate entrepreneurship (proactiveness, Risk-taking, Autonomy, Aggressiveness). The analyzed data through these demonstrated that the factors of business management system by the types of radical innovations had been affected differently and corporate entrepreneurship and management system, too. That is, we can understand that different forms of corporate entrepreneurship and management system were required by innovation types, company sizes, and the positions in the company. This study has the meaning in view of the new trial of understanding for the relationships among corporate entrepreneurship, radical innovation, and management system through the detailed factual case analysis breaking the limit of theoretical considerations so far.

본 연구는 급진적 혁신(Radical Innovation)을 위한 기업 경영시스템(Business system)에 사내기업가정신(Corporate Entrepreneurship)이 어떻게 작용하는지를 주요 연구목적으로 하였다. 구체적으로는 급진적 혁신을 제품혁신 및 프로세스혁신으로 구분하고 기존 연구를 바탕으로 4가지 기준조건(시장에 새로운 편익 및 제품제공, 국내외 최초의 제품 및 프로세스 도입, 기존보다 눈에 띄는 특징 및 특성, 30~50% 비용 절감)에 맞는 대기업 및 중소기업의 4개 사례를 설정하였다. 이들 기업을 분석하기 위해 경영시스템(전략, 고객, 조직원, 프로세스) 요인과 사내기업가정신(미래지향성, 위험감수성, 자율성, 저돌성) 요인을 중심으로 설문조사 실시하였고 기업관계자들과 심층적인 인터뷰를 하였으며 분석 기업에서 제공된 자료를 바탕으로 다중사례분석 및 실증분석을 통해 분석하였다. 이를 통한 분석결과 급진적 혁신이 제품혁신과 프로세스혁신에 따라 기업의 경영시스템 요인 중 전략과 종업원이 유의한 차이가 있으며 기업규모와 직급별로 요구되어지는 사내기업가정신이나 경영시스템 또한 다르게 나타나고 있는 것으로 조사되었다. 즉, 혁신유형, 기업규모, 그리고 사내직위에 따라 다른 형태의 사내기업가정신 및 경영시스템이 요구되어짐을 알 수 있다. 본 연구는 그동안 우리나라에서 주로 연구되었던 개인적 관점의 기업가정신에서 벗어나 조직적 차원의 사내기업가정신을 중심으로 기업의 실증적 심층사례분석을 통해 사내기업가정신, 급진적 혁신, 그리고 경영시스템 간의 상관관계 규명을 시도했다는 점에서 그 의의가 있다고 하겠다.
