This study is study is to present effective methods for reading strategies during studying textbooks for academic-purposed students. Although necessity of reading strategies training has been emphasized, the researches about the training was rarely done. Thus, in this study, I defined "reading strategies", and exhibited the presentational methods and orders of reading strategies according to the former researches. The order of the strategies is formed in 3 steps; the first step is presenting reading strategies(explanation and modeling), the second step is training for the strategies(simple and complex practices), and the third step is reviewing after the strategies training. Then, based on these steps, I analyzed how the reading strategies were presented in Korean textbooks, especially textbooks for academic-purposed students. Lastly, I presented a model for reading strategies training according to the steps.
