The purpose of this paper is to design a class and attempt a practical class model by applying ‘CEDA(cross-examination debate association) academic debate' to the class for and against an life ethics issue of morality and lessons. 'CEDA academic debate' meaning ‘cross-examination debate contest' implies the possibility of an educational method for the 21th century future-oriented moral education that permits us to adopt and give consideration to others' viewpoints and allows empathy through, as positive interaction between learners, increased high-class critical・creative・comprehensive judgement ability as well as the basic ability - comprehension, thinking power, logical power, analytical power, expressive power. For development of this paper, Chapter 2 theoretically discusses the suitability and effectiveness of 'CEDA academic debate' in its Morality and Class. Chapter 3 describes the composition principle, progressive mode and evaluation method of 'CEDA academic debate'. Chapter 4 describes a class design and a practical class model of 'CEDA academic debate' for life ethics class, centering around morality and contents of 2007 amended textbook. In Conclusion, the merits and effects of this study and empirical・practical methods of follow-up studies to supplement the limit of this study are proposed.

본 논문의 목적은 ‘CEDA(cross-examination debate association) 아카데미 토론’을 소개하고 ‘CEDA 아카데미 토론’을 도덕과 수업의 생명윤리 쟁점 찬반 수업에 적용하여 수업을 설계하고 실천적 수업모형을 시도하는데 있다. ‘교차조사식 토론 대회’를 의미하는 ‘CEDA 아카데미 토론’은 학습자간 적극적인 상호작용으로 기초능력 ― 이해력, 사고력, 논리력, 분석력, 표현력 ― 은 물론, 한 차원 높은 고급의 비판적ㆍ창의적ㆍ종합적 판단 능력의 향상을 통해 타인의 관점을 채택, 배려하고 감정 이입 가능한 21세기 미래지향적 도덕교육을 위한 효과적인 교육방법의 가능성을 시사한다. 본 논문의 전개를 위해 2장은 도덕과 수업에서 ‘CEDA 아카데미 토론’의 적절성과 실효성을 이론적으로 논하고 있다. 3장은 ‘CEDA 아카데미 토론’의 구성 원리와 진행방식, 평가방법을 설명하고 있다. 4장은 생명윤리 수업을 위한 ‘CEDA 아카데미 토론’ 수업 설계와 실천적 수업 모형을 도덕과 2007 개정교과서 내용 요소를 중심으로 시도하고 있다. 결론에서는 본 연구의 강점과 효과, 그리고 연구의 한계를 보완할 후속연구의 경험적ㆍ실천적 방안에 대해 제안하고 있다.
