This study aims to analyze the effect of effort, preference and anxiety on examination performance, and the relation of preference and anxiety in the commercial education of commercial high school. The results based on a questionnaire of 3 grades-9 classes were as follows. First, the level of effort, preference and anxiety were a little low. Second, the relation between performance and effort, preference was significantly positive. Third, anxiety was not related to the performance. and there was no negative relation to preference. The low level of effort and preference means the poor environment in the commercial education of commercial high school. But, the education environment could be improved as the relation between performance and effort, preference was significantly positive. Above all, strengthening of positive behavior than control of negative behavior will be efficient in performance improvement.

본 연구에서는 노력수준 및 학습태도가 교과목 성적에 미치는 영향을 알아보고, 교과목 성적이 불안감 보다는 선호도에 의한 영향을 더 받는지 알아 보고자 하였다. 서울소재 한 상업계 고등학교의 3개 학년 9개 학급 학생을 대상으로 상업교과목 성적과 주요 관심변수 사이의 관계를 분석한 결과는 다음과 같았다. 첫째, 상업교과목에 대한 학생들의 노력수준과 선호도, 불안감은 모두 전반적으로 낮은 수준이었다. 둘째, 상업교과목에 대한 노력수준과 선호도는 교과목 성적과 유의적인 양(+)의 관계를 보였다. 셋째, 불안감은 교과목 성적과 관련성이 없었으며, 선호도와 음(-)의 관계가 존재하지 않았다. 상업교과목에 대한 학생들의 노력수준과 선호도의 낮은 수준은 현 상업교과목의 학습환경을 대변한다. 그러나 노력, 선호도와 교과목 성적 사이의 긍정적인 관계를 강화함으로써 학습환경의 개선이 가능할 것이다. 특히 본 연구의 결과는 부정적 학습태도의 억제보다는 긍정적 학습태도를 강화하는 학습환경이 학업성취도 향상에 중요함을 시사한다.
