At a Internet service provider(ISP), field human resources visit many customer sites to provide multimedia services to customers in ubiquitous environment. Scheduling the resources is a hard problem because there are many tasks which have to be done by the resources and the number of the resources is not sufficient. To tackle this problem, ISPs had used team-based scheduling system. However, this approach was not sufficient to reduce the number of frequent changes of arrival time and could not increase operational efficiency enough. Therefore, we proposed individual resource scheduling system to schedule the resources efficiently. We also developed an optimal resource selection algorithm based on statistical information when an operator assigns a task to the resource. After we adopted this algorithm to the real world, the resources can do more tasks in a day.

통신망 사업자의 현장 인적 리소스는 고객에게 멀티미디어 서비스를 제공하기 위하여 유비쿼터스 환경에서 여러 장소를 이동하며 다닌다. 대부분의 경우 현장 인적 리소스의 수는 제한적이고, 해야 할 작업 수는 많으므로, 어떤 리소스가 어떤 작업을 언제 해야 가장 효과적지 결정하는 일은 어려운 문제이다. 통신망 사업자는 그 동안 이 문제를 해결하기 위하여 작업조 기반의 스케줄링 기법을 사용했다. 그러나 이 방법은 고객 방문 시간이 자주 변경 되는 것을 줄이기에 부족했고, 운용 효율성이 떨어졌다. 따라서 본 논문은 리소스의 스케줄을 효과적으로 관리하기 위해 리소스 개별로 스케줄을 관리해 주는 기법을 제안한다. 뿐만 아니라, 특정 작업을 하기위한 최적의 리소스를 자동으로 선택해주는 알고리즘도 소개한다. 본 스케줄링 기법을 실제 통신망 사업자의 멀티미디서 서비스 제공 업무에 도입해 본 결과 적은 리소스로 더 많은 작업을 할 수 있었다.
