The structure of construction in 21st century changes into complicated and various forms cause of the changes of daily life and rapid development of science. The new method of construction and the development of technology made the space over 20meters under the surface, and it creates a underground communication and new culture space.But public facilities like underground spaces and huge constructions which made only in a few years need the shelter incitement system for users to make them safe in a short time in the case of terror or calamity. This research presents the problems of color, shape, location of an emergency exit sign of present time and discuss about the need of new type of fire exit which choose on-and-off light design, and which is more efficiency. And it proposes the new design for emergency exit after research materials of fire exit and experiment the color, shape and location for effective design for emergency exit. First method of this study was research the documentary records. After research for parallel case of design of fire exit, it choose the color of green for inducement light from disguise experiment of Japan after the World War the second. Second, it found after the experimentation of intensity of light for six colors(red, orange, yellow, green, blue, yellowish green) that yellow is the most effective color in the case of smoke cause of a conflagration or power failure in transmission and approbation. Third, to suggest an effective on-and-off style sign of emergency exit, it experimented with the shape of a person who runs, an arrow and a spot. After that experimentation, it verified the color and shape of the sign. And after the consideration of actions and glans of refugees, it verified the most effective location of sign. According to the result of experimentation, on-and-off style emergency exit sign design is better than previous one on the part of transmission and approbation and it also shows us possibility of development of new type of fire exit sign design.

21세기, 우리들의 일상생활은 급속한 과학의 발달과 함께 건축 구조도 복잡하고 다양한 형태로 진보되어가고 있다. 고층 건물들이 도시 전체를 메우기 시작했고 새로운 건축 공법과 기술의 발전으로 지하 20m이상의 위치에 지하 공간을 형성시켜 지하철을 이용한 교통수단과 쇼핑공간이 형성, 새로운 문화 공간이 구성되었다. 그러나 최근 지하공간과 대형건축물을 비롯한 공공시설에 화재 및 테러 등의 비상사태가 발생했을 경우, 짧은 시간 내에 이용자들을 안전한 장소로 대피시킬 수 있는 피난유도시스템의 필요성이 요구되어지고 있다.본 연구에서는 現行 사용되어지고 있는 비상구사인의 색, 형태, 설치위치에 관하여 문제점을 제시하고 효과적인 피난유도 기능을 가진 「새로운 형태의 점멸식 비상구디자인」의 필요성에 관해서 論하였다. 그리고 비상구사인에 관련한 자료조사와 효율적인 비상구디자인을 위한 색, 형태, 설치 위치에 관련한 실험을 실시하여 새로운 비상구사인을 제안하였다.본 연구를 통해 첫째, 녹색을 적용하게 된 비상구사인의 출현에 관한 문헌 조사를 실시하여 일본에서는 2차 세계대전 前後, 防空僞裝을 위한 목적으로 안전색이라는 의미를 내포하고 있는 녹색燈을 사용하게 된 것을 알게 되었다.둘째, 연기 속에서 6色(빨강, 오렌지, 노랑, 연두, 초록, 파랑)을 이용한 光度실험을 통해, 정전이나 화재로 인한 연기 속에서는 비상구사인에 노란색을 적용하여 사용하는 것이 투과성과 시인성면에서 가장 효율성이 높다는 것을 밝혀냈다.셋째, 효율적인 점멸방식의 비상구사인을 제안하기 위해 달리는 사람의 형태, 화살표, 점을 조합한 형태에 관련한 실험과 피난시의 피난자의 피난 행동과 시선을 고려하여 효율적인 비상구사인의 적용 위치를 고찰했다. 연구 결과, 점멸식을 이용한 비상구사인의 인식 효과는 뛰어났으며 새로운 비상구사인의 연구, 개발에 대한 가능성을 발견하게 되었다.
