This study focuses on the single-parent family, which recently stands out due to its sharp increase in the diversity of new family type as a result from dramatically increased divorce ratio. It is to be a foundation study as a cost-effective plan for using uninhabited houses, which also shows a remarkable increase as a solution of the housing shortage for single-parent families as a socially underprivileged class. The solution to deal with the problem would be the habituation plan which can offer people to stay independently. First af all, it is necessary to grasp the current inhabitants' needs and satisfactory in the welfare facilities for single-parent families. Secondly, the proper size for single-parent families would be calculated according to existing housing for the time being. The third part is a comparison of a size of the habitation of a single-parent familes and the most common apartment shaped residencial. In conclusion, by analyzing, researching, and comparing, the problems and the complements of the residential code of the welfare faility of the single-parent family could be understood. and to apply uninhabited houses as collective housing as a future dwelling type. The aim of this study is to propose a basic plan standard to grasp the problems of existing single-parent family facilities through comparisons and analysis between the standards, based on the results of 3 objectives above, and to apply uninhabited houses as collective housing as a future dwelling type. This research study as it steps up of study survey what the right organization type in single-parent family after optimum scale and organization type of apartment plan of similarity scale given by proceedings until now. And area and each zone and the right scale for single-parent family life is what I saw of the level though comparison with area of each zone and politic residential standard given by Seoul and the Ministry of Construction and Transportation.

본 연구에서는 급격한 사회 변화로 인하여 새롭게 나타나는 다양한 가족유형중에서도 최근 들어 이혼율이 급격하게 증가하면서 현저하게 늘어나고 있는 한부모가구를 대상으로 하고 있다. 현재 우리나라에서 사회적약자의 위치에 처해있는 한부모가구를 위한 시설이 입주 희망자 수에 비하여 턱없이 부족한 실정이다. 이를 해결하기 위하여 자립하여 정상적인 생활을 할 수 있는 기틀을 제공하기위한 주거시설 계획안을 마련하고자 한다. 이를 위해서는 첫째, 한부모가구를 위한 복지시설의 실 거주자의 만족도와 요구사항을 파악해야 할 것이다. 둘째, 현재 지어진 주택들 중에서 한부모가구가 생활하기에 적합한 규모를 산출해야 한다. 셋째, 한부모가구가 생활하기에 적합한 규모와 현재 일반적인 주거로 자리 잡고 있는 아파트 형태의 주거공간의 면적과 비교를 하였다. 이 세 가지의 목표의 결과를 바탕으로 한부모가족 복지시설의 설치기준 중에서 거주공간에 해당하는 부분의 비교 및 분석을 통하여 현재 지어진 한부모가구를 위한 시설의 문제점 및 보완점을 파악하고, 앞으로 새로운 주거유형으로 나타날 한부모가구를 위한 주거시설에 적합한 기본계획 기준을 제시하고자 한다. 본 연구는 이를 위한 기초적 단계의 연구로서 지금까지 선행연구에서 제시된 적정규모와 유사한 규모의 아파트 평면의 구성유형을 살펴보아 한부모가구에 적절한 구성유형이 어떠한 것인지 살펴보고, 각 실의 면적과 서울시와 건교부에서 제시하고 있는 정책적 주거기준과의 비교를 통하여 한부모가구가 생활하기에 적절한 규모가 어느 정도의 수준인지를 알아보았다.
