Considering the structural role of today's society, it is imperative to begin a research on the Youth Facilities with goal of helping them to improve their characters and, as a result, become a better member of our society. This study shows the analysis on the status on the youth cultural centers in all 'Eup'level towns in Ulsan city, and indicates the problems that youth cultural centers are facing and presents the improvement plan by grasping the situation through analysis of the accessibility, the location, the rationality of the space composition, the type of space and the differentiated program of the youth centers in Ulsan city. The purpose of the thesis is to make a meaningful contribution to the successful construction of the youth centers that enables today's youth to fulfill their cultural desires by providing the solution for the problems related to the policy on youth and the construction of youth centers in Ulsan city.

오늘날 사회 구조적 역할의 측면에서 보면, 청소년들이 보다 나은 인격을 연마하고 바람직한 사회구성원으로의 성장을 목표로 하는 청소년 수련 시설에 대한 연구가 시급한 상황이다. 본 연구는 이러한 시점에서 현재 울산광역시 내 생활권 청소년 수련시설 중 각 구나 읍 단위마다 위치해 있는‘청소년문화의 집’의 현황을 분석하였다. 분석의 관점은 접근성과 입지조건, 공간구성의 합리성, 차별화된 프로그램과 공간 유형의 측면에서 실태를 분석하고 파악하여 현재 울산광역시 내의 청소년문화의 집이 가지는 문제점과 개선방안을 제시하였다. 이를 바탕으로 향후 울산광역시의 청소년 정책이나 수련시설의 건립에 있어서 문제점을 보완하고, 새로운 방향을 제시하여 이 시대를 살아가는 청소년들의 내재된 문화적 욕구를 충족시킬 수 있는 공간창출에 도움이 되는데 본 논문의 의의가 있다.
