The purpose of this study is to develop a parenting intervention program to be incorporated easily into routine interactions between mother-adolescents with social anxiety through Theraplay. Parent-adolescents Theraplay helps parents reinforce their relationships with adolescent for better psychological well-being. Parent-adolescents Theraplay enables parents to have confidence in their roles and supports the open communication among mother-adolescent. The results revealed that mother showed positive changes in the attitudes and understanding for her adolescent. Parent-adolescent Theraplay is effectual at affirmative change of social, emotional problems of adolescent client. According to the results of the study, researcher concluded that parent-adolescents Theraplay had the positive effect on the interaction between social anxiety adolescent and mother.

본 논문에서는 어머니와 갈등 관계를 맺고 있는 사회불안을 호소하는 청소년 내담자와 모 간의 상호작용 증진을 위한 부모-자녀 치료놀이 사례를 질적 분석으로 연구하였다. 본 논문에서는 부모와의 관계 경험이 사회불안 및 사회적 회피에 영향을 미친다는 최근의 연구동향에 근거하여 부모-자녀 간 애착경험의 재형성 및 긍정적 상호작용의 경험을 바탕으로 한 치료놀이를 사회불안 청소년 내담자와 그 어머니를 대상으로 총 8회기 실시하여 사전 및 사후 검사 및 인터뷰를 통하여 변화과정을 질적으로 살펴보았다. 실시 결과 모-자녀 관계에 긍정적 변화가 나타났을 뿐 아니라 청소년 내담자의 타인에 대한 신뢰감 형성 및 긍정적으로 사회적 상호작용을 시도하고자 하는 행동의 변화가 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 부모-자녀 간의 상호작용 증진을 위한 부모-자녀 치료놀이가 사회불안을 호소하는 청소년 내담자의 치료적 중재에 새로운 토대를 마련할 수 있음을 보여주는 것이라 하겠다.
