영어
Every phoneme of given language is specified a constant value for each distinctive feature of that language, but sometimes more than two phonetic realization of one and the same phoneme have different values each other for the same distinctive feature. In this case, the phoneme may not be specified [+] nor [-]. We can see such examples as [grave] for /w/, [high] for /ㄴ, ㅅ, ㄹ/ and [grave, labial, high, low] for /ㅎ/ in Korean. Their values are determined according to the sequential segmental environments redundantly, so phonemes here are represented as [0]-value for these features.
