Immuno-Modulatory Activity of Polysaccharides Isolated by Fruiting Body of Grifola frondosa in RAW 264.7 cell

초록

영어

Grifola frondosa is a basidiomycete fungus belonging to the order Aphyllopherales, and the family Polyporaceae. Grifola frondosa has been used traditionally both as food and medicinal purposes. Extracts of Grifola frondosa, especially beta-glucan(polysaccharides) constituent, have been associated with anti-tumor and immunomodulating properties. Monocytes and macrophages are phagocytes acting in innate immunity and cellmediated immunity. Phagocytosis is involved in the acquisition of nutrients for some cells, which is the major mechanism used to remove cell debris and pathogens in the immune system. Grifola frondosa has been known to be related with macrophage-mediated innate immune responses. The functional events are mediated by activated macrophages such as the phagocytic uptake and release of toxic molecules(NO and ROS) were investigated. The goals of this research were to study the immunomodulatory activity of extracts from Grifola frondosa in RAW 264.7 cell line.
