This study aims to analyze the Korean language textbooks that are produced for the women immigrants, and to propose the future direction of producing Korean language textbooks for women immigrants. On this study, the direction of producing Korean language textbook for women immigrants will be proposed in the both of two aspects, construction and content. In aspect of the construction, above all, it is important that the system of textbook has to correspond with the producing direction. Second, vocabularies and grammars should be presented with proper amount by each grades considering about learner's learning ability. Third, many visual materials should be inserted in a textbook to help women immigrants study alone giving consideration through their studying environment, and the language in a textbook should be exhibited in various languages. Finally, it is needs to produce various textbooks and teacher's manuals to serve using these materials of teachers effectively. Then, in aspect of the content, first, in addition to language education, Korean cultures which help to women immigrants for understanding the Korean culture practically should be introduced in the textbooks. Second, contexts that are related to real life of the women immigrants should be presented considering about various situation that can be occur to the women immigrants. Third, textbooks should include a number of information that can help the women immigrants to adapt to their life in Korea.

본고는 여성 결혼이민자를 대상으로 제작된 한국어 교재를 분석하고, 이를 바탕으로 여성 결혼이민자를 위한 한국어 교재의 제작 방향에 관하여 논의한다. 2007년 현재 여성 결혼이민자 대상의 한국어 교재는 여성가족부와 농림부에서 제작한 교재가 있다. 본고는 이들을 분석 대상으로 하여 학습자와 교사의 측면에서 교재의 제작 방향을 구성과 내용으로 구분하여 제안한다. 구성에 있어서는 첫째, 교재 제작의 방향 및 체제는 통일되어야 한다. 둘째, 어휘는 학습자의 능력에 맞게 급 별로 적절한 양을 제시한다. 셋째, 문법은 급 별로 체계화하여 양적인 면에서나 난이도 면에서 학습자의 능력에 맞게 제시한다. 넷째, 여성 결혼이민자가 처한 환경을 고려하여 독학이 가능할 수 있도록 시각 자료를 제시하고, 다양한 언어로 번역하여 제시한다. 다섯째, 교사가 선택하여 사용할 수 있도록 다양한 교재 및 교사용 교재를 제작하여 수업에 도움이 되도록 한다. 내용에 있어서는 첫째, 언어 교육과 더불어 한국의 문화를 소개하여 여성 결혼이민자가 한국을 이해하는 데 실질적인 도움을 주도록 한다. 둘째, 여성 결혼이민자가 처한 상황에 근거하여 실생활에 관련된 내용을 제시한다. 셋째, 한국 생활 적응에 필요한 다양한 정보를 제공한다. 여성 결혼이민자를 대상으로 한 한국어 교육은 다문화 되어 가고 있는 한국 사회의 안정에 도움을 주어 궁극적으로 국가 발전의 토대를 마련하게 될 것이다. 따라서 여성 결혼이민자 대상의 한국어 교육에 기초가 되는 교재 개발에 앞으로도 계속적인 논의가 이루어져야 할 것이다.
