With the development of time, it’s getting more and more serious that the spaces in city environment become not abundant and along with it natural environment is missing. In the same time, the communication between indoor and outdoor environment is getting less, too. For solving the problems of worsened city environment and spaces indoor, it’s necessary to utilize the atrium construction to recovery the central function of city and the open spaces indoor.
This paper proposed the ecological design scheme of atrium, which has the advantages such as openability, which means through using glasses to create visual impression and widen spaces, continuity, which means integrating spaces indoor and outdoor, and illegibility, which means blur the boundary of spaces indoor and environment outdoor, and at last utilizing the very
direct nature of factors which could not be influenced by circumjacent things so that to separate the connections between spaces indoor and natural environment outdoor.
