A Study on the Improvement of Evaluation Method for Solar Access of School

Recently, as there have been increasing interest in the condition of solar access with increasingly emerging high-rise and high-density buildings in urban areas, the frequency of disputes about solar access right has increased regarding renewal and reconstruction projects at sites adjacent to educational facilities. However, because the absence of applicable standards or guidelines for assessing the solar access right of educational facilities have caused disputes and conflicts between the parties, it is required to establish such standards or guidelines. In this context, this study aims to suggest the way to improve the methodology of solar access assessment by carrying out an empirical study on the said methodology for educational facilities and setting up the standards for assessing the actually infringed degree of solar access right when the right is infringed.
