The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of dance sport and yoga exercise on physical fitness, body composition, and blood lipid levels of schizophrenic patients. The subjects of this study were diagnosed schizophrenic patients in their thirties to forties and were divided into three groups ; dance sport group(n=6), yoga group(n=6), and control group(n=6). their physical fitness, body composition and blood lipid levels were a period of 12 weeks.
The results of this study were as follows ; First, physical fitness results showed significant statistical differences to time, interaction, and balance, among muscle endurance at the levels(p<.05). Second, body composition results showed significant statistical differences to measurement time, interaction effect among body mass index at the levels(p<.05). Third, blood lipid levels results showed no significant statistical differences to measurement time, interaction effect among blood lipid levels. In conclusion, dance sport and yoga are positively effective on improvement of physical fitness, body composition in schizophrenic patients.

본 연구의 목적은 댄스스포츠와 요가가 정신분열병환자의 체력, 신체구성 및 혈중지질에 미치는 영향을
규명하는데 있다. 연구대상은 주치의에 의해 정신분열병의 진단이 내려진 30～40대 환자 18명을 대상으로 댄스스포츠군(n=6), 요가군(n=6), 비운동군(n=6)으로 분류하였으며, 모든 대상자는 운동 전과 12주 후에 체력, 신체구성, 혈중지질 검사를 실시하였다.
연구 결과 다음과 같은 사실을 발견하였다. 첫째, 체력검사 결과에서는 근지구력에서 측정시기 간, 상호작용 효과에서 유의한 차이가 나타났으며, 평형성에서 측정시기 간 유의한 차이가 나타났다(p<.05). 둘째, 신체구성검사 결과 체질량지수에서 집단 간, 측정시기간, 상호작용 효과 모두에서 유의한 차이가 나타났으며, 체지방량과 체지방률에서 측정시기 간 유의한 차이가 나타났다(p<.05). 셋째, 혈중지질검사 결과에서는 집단 간, 측정시기 간, 상호작용 효과 모두 유의한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과로 볼 때 댄스스포츠와 요가가 정신분열병 환자의 체력, 신체구성에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 사료된다.
