Since reform and opening up, China's rural economic has rapidly growth, rural areas have undergone tremendous changes, but due to various reasons, rural environmental issues are increasingly prominent, especially the serious water pollution, which has become a direct impact on the rural ecology, production and living security, it is one of the important factors constraining China's rural economic and social sustainable development. China is a 1.3 billion population country, the rural population still accounts for 56 percent of the country, however, there are still over 300 million farmers do not drink clean water. Compared with the geographical narrow and crowded cities, rural has broader geographical and scattered population living relatively; rural pollution has more types and broader distribution of surface, which is also relatively more difficult to control. This paper on the investigation and analysis of the status of China's rural water environment, identified and summarized a few rural water pollution problems caused by the main reasons such as township industrial pollution, agricultural non-point source pollution, intensive farms and the pollution of life sewage and waste water pollution caused by discarded at will and a series of pollution problems. For the above reasons, some control measures to China's rural water pollution problems were proposed.

중국은 개혁개방 이래 농촌지역 경제는 급속한 성장과 함께 큰 변화를 겪고 있다. 반면 농촌경제의 급속 성장에 따라 농촌의 환경문제가 점차 나타나기 시작했다. 특히 심각한 수질 오염은 농촌의 생태, 생산 및 생활 안전에 대해 큰 영향을 주게 되었고, 농촌의 경제와 지속 가능한 개발에 대해 중요한 장애요인으로 작용하게 되었다. 현재 중국의 13억 인구 중 농촌 인구가 거의 56%를 차지하고 있다. 아직도 3억명의 농촌 사람들이 깨끗한 물을 못 먹고 있는 상태이다. 인구가 밀집된 도시와 비교해, 농촌은 더 넓은 지역으로 분산되어 거주하고 있기 때문에 농촌 수질 오염 원인이 더 복잡하고 오염 범위도 커서 상대적으로 오수 처리를 더욱 어렵게 만들고 있다. 본 논문에서는 중국 농촌지역의 수질환경 현황과 수질 오염의 원인을 분석하였다. 특히 향진공업의 오염, 농업 비점오염, 집약적인 축산(양식)업 오염 및 생활하수와 폐기물의 임의 배출 등 오염 원인을 강조하였다. 이들 원인에 대한 적실성 있는 대책을 제시하였고, 기타 농촌의 수질오염 문제에 대한 처방을 제시하였다.
