Anorexia nervosa is one of severe neuropsychiatric disorders and appears more rate of incidence in therecent decade. Anorexia nervosa is also associated with abnormalities in neuroendocrine function. The hippocampus isthought to control learning and memory. It is also known that the hippocampus regulates eating behavior. The anorexiamutant mice (anx/anx) appear an autosomal recessive mode of inheritance and present phenotypically with decreasedfood intake and body weights compared to their wild-type littermates. However, the role of c-Jun in the hippocampusof anorexia mutant mice is still unclear. Therefore, to study the changes of c-Jun expression in the hippocampus ofanorexia mutant mice, the immunohistochemistry method was performed. Here we report that anorexia mutant miceshowed the decreased expression of c-Jun positive neurons in the dentate gyrus compared to the control mice, while thec-Jun expression of CA1 and CA2&3 were higher than that of the control mice, respectively.
