The Thema that inspected influence variables on the voters’ decision making process have been main objects of political communication researches. Social psychological researches have verified social variables and psychological variables that had an effect on voting decision making process. But These research methods have restrictions on interpreting research results in relation to shot-term change of voters’ decision. In order to make up for the weak points in social psychological researches, though relational voting choice theory came to the front, this approach method had a restriction as well as the social psychological approach methods. Because the method can not help admitting the same result from the same situation The cognitive method that admit differences between individuals can overcome these weaknesses. Though this method assume individuals as rational being as well as rational voting choice theory, this method admit voting choice differences as it assert restrictive rationalism that admits procedural restrictions. In other words individuals can have different voting decision making, because they may interpret the external informations according to their political schema. Because researches on political schema have been researched through the R-method and the R-method can not measure subjective attitudes that is main factors in voting choice making, this research method have restriction. This paper surveyed voters’ voting patterns in Suwoon Youngtong precinct by the Q-method that is good for measuring voters’ subjectivities. In other words this paper surveyed what factors individuals consider important subjectively and classified voters according to their subjectivities. The result of this paper classified voters into 4 types and discovered that political issues and candidates’ personal qualities and careers issues are influential factors in voters’ decisional making

유권자 투표의사 결정과정의 영향 변인을 확인하는 연구주제는 정치커뮤니케이션 연구의 핵심 대상이었다. 사회심리학적 접근의 연구들은 투표의사결정과정에 영향을 미치는 많은 사회적 변인들과 심리적 변인들을 확인했다. 그러나 이들 연구방법은 유권자 투표의사의 단기적 변화를 해석하는데 한계가 있었다. 이를 보완하기 위해 경제적 모델에 입각한 합리적 투표선택이론 이 대두되었지만, 이 모델 역시 동일한 상황은 동일한 투표행태를 야기한다는 전제를 가능하게 함으로써 근본적 문제해결에 한계가 있다. 개인차를 인정하는 인지적 접근방법은 이 같은 한계를 극복할 수 있다. 이 모델은 합리적 투표선택이론과 마찬가지로 유권자를 합리적 존재로 가정하지만, 절차적 한계가 있는 제한된 합리론을 주장함으로서 개인 간 투표선택의 차이를 인정한다. 즉, 개인의 정치적 도식이 외부정보를 다르게 해석하게 함으로써 개인마다 투표의사결정이 다를 수 있다. 지금까지 정치적 도식에 대한 연구들은 미리 개발된 척도만 조사하는 한정된 R방법론으로 이루어졌는데,투표행태는 유권자 주관적 태도와 관련되어 있기 때문에R방법론에 의한 측정만으로는 한계가 있다. 본 연구는 유권자의 주관성 측정에 효능성이 있는 Q-방법론으로 제 18대 국회의원 선거캠페인이 진행되고 있는 수원시 영통선거구 유권자들을 대상으로 투표행태를 조사했다. 즉, 유권자들이 주관적으로 어떤 요인들을 중요하게 고려하는지 그리고 주관성에 따라 유권자들을 어떻게 유형화할 수 있는지를 파악하고자 하였다. 조사결과 유권자들은4개의 유형으로 분류되었고,투표의사 결정에 중요하게 영향을 미칠 것으로 판단되는 이슈로 정치적 이슈와 후보자 개인 자질 및 경험 이슈를 파악했다.
