The purpose of this study was to explore the anticipated positive effects of Web-based anchored program on pre-service general education teachers‘ understanding of students with disabilities and instructional adaptations. In particular, currently Korean teacher educators face new challenges; teaching pre-service general education teachers to understand students with disabilities and instructional strategies that are effective in inclusive classroom settings. However, it does not seem to be easy because of two reasons. First, there are not enough teacher educators for this. Second, there is no well-structured curriculum for pre-service general education teachers that is well matched in inclusive classroom settings. Previous studies on Web-based anchored instruction for the pre-service general education teachers indicated that this approach would be effective on pre-service teachers' 1) knowledge transfer, reflective thinking, attitude and motivation, and 2) use of ICT in terms of teaching and learning perspective. In addition, Web-based anchored program seems to be effective on teaching large number of students with small number of teacher educators with well-prepared curriculum, use of multimedia resources, increasing interactions, and individualized learning.

최근 통합교육이 크게 확대되고 있는 상황에서, 교사양성 기관에서는 2009학년도 입학생을 대상으로 특수아동의 이해를 위한 소양과목을 개설해야 한다. 성공적인 통합교육을 위해 일반교사의 역할이 중요하다는 점을 감안하면 매우 의미 있는 변화라고 할 수 있다. 그러나 특수교육을 가르칠 수 있는 교수자가 부족하고, 일반교사들을 대상으로 통합교육에서 필요한 역량을 가르치기에 적합한 교육과정의 개발이 부족한 것이 사실이다. 이러한 현실로 인해 교사양성 기관 간에 교육의 질에서 큰 차이가 있을 것으로 예상된다. 이러한 상황에서 본 연구는 장․단기적 관점에서 예비 일반교사의 특수아동에 대한 학습을 촉진시킬 수 있는 효과적인 접근법으로 웹기반 앵커드 교수법을 제안하고, 문헌연구를 통하여 기대 효과를 고찰하였다. 본 연구결과에 의하면 웹기반 앵커드 교수법은 교수-학습 측면에서 특히 현 예비교사 교육에서 공통적으로 중요시하는 지식의 전이, 반성적 성찰, 태도 및 동기, 그리고 ICT 활용 능력에 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 웹기반 앵커드 교수법은 교수-학습 환경 측면에서 교육대상자의 확대, 멀티미디어 활용의 용이, 온․오프라인 통합을 통한 상호작용 극대화, 그리고 개별화 학습을 가능하게 할 것으로 예상된다.
