The study was intended to identify the factors of the alternative school teacher beliefs thought to be the basis in performing teaching, and seek for the method to measure the belief in more objective and feasible ways. The alternative school teachers' belief is considered to have considerable influence on both teachers themselves and students through teacher-learner relation in the education field. The alternative school teachers' belief identified in this study were composed of a total of 4 factors; view of education, view of learner, view of teaching-learning, and view of teaching profession and subject-matter. The questionnaire was composed of 7 questions for the view of education, 13 questions for the view of learner, 18 questions for the view of teaching-learning, and 9 questions for the view of teaching profession and subject-matter. Reliability of internal consistency of these factors was .808, .847, .915, .825, respectively and total .948 Cronbach α, which was found reliable in measuring teachers' belief. The result of this study will go far toward developing the program for alternative school teacher education.

본 연구는 대안학교의 현장에서 실제 교육을 실행해 나갈 대안학교 교사들의 교육적 신념의 요인들을 규명하여 대안학교 교사신념을 보다 타당하고 객관적으로 측정하는 방법을 모색하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서 대안학교 교사신념의 구인은 교육관, 학습자관, 교수-학습관, 교과인지관의 4개로 규명되었고, 각각 7문항, 13문항, 18문항, 9문항으로 구성되었다. 타당도 추정결과, 본 연구에서 개발한 대안학교 교사들의 교육적 신념 측정도구는 타당성이 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 또한 평가도구의 전체 신뢰도 계수는 .948 Cronbach α계수로 분석되었고, 교육관 요인은 .808, 학습자관은 .847, 교수-학습관은 .915, 교과인지관은 .825, 따라서 네 요인의 전체 신뢰도 계수는 신뢰롭다고 할 수 있다. 대안학교 교사신념 측정 평가 도구 모델에 대한 적합도 평가 결과, 적합도 지수(Goodness of fit)값들은 적합한 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 대안학교 교사들을 위한 교사교육 프로그램을 개발하는데 기초 자료로 기여할 수 있을 것이다.
