Effects of Yeast Extract, Methyl Jasmonate and Chitin in Callus Cultures of Morus alba L, Perilla frutescens and Prunus persica (L.) Batsch

초록

영어

The possibility of enhancement accumulation of secondary metabolites has been studied in callus cultures of Morus alba L, Perilla frutescens and Prunus persica (L.) Batsch. These plants have long been used in traditional medicine for healing of various health-related problems. Callus cultures of these medicinal plants were established from seedling leaves in Murashige and Skoog medium with 2,4-dichlorophenoxy acetic acid, 1-naphtalene acetic acid and benzoic acid. 20 mg/gFCW yeast extract, 1 mg/gFCW methyl jasmonate and 20 mg/gFCW chitin were used as elicitor to increase the secondary metabolite production of medicinal plants. We compared all secondary metabolites between unelicited cells and elicited cells of medicinal plants at 48 h after elicitor treatment.
