Comparative study of the ethanol Production from Different Varieties of Various Crops

초록

영어

The contents of starch, protein, lipid, crude fiber, minerals, moisture of different varieties of various crops such as barley, corn, rice, sweet potato were analyzed. Twenty seven gram of the powder of each starchy substrate was mixed with 92 of D. W., and then liquefied, saccharified, and fermented ㎖ by 2.5 g of dried active yeast at 32℃ for 4 days. The ethanol fermentation was monitored by the amount of CO2 released from the fermentation slurry. The CO2 released was determined by the difference in the weight of the flask containing the
fermentation slurry between the initial time and different fermentation times. The ethanol production was rapidly increased during first day after the start of fermentation and almost ceased after 3 days. The ethanol content produced from barley, corn, and rice were 9.5%(v/v), 8.5-9.4%(v/v), 10.1%(v/v), respectively. By statistical analysis, the effectiveness of the contents of the different components such as starch, protein, lipid, crude fiber, minerals of the crops on the ethanol production were evaluated.
