본 연구의 목적은 직업 군인 아내들이 인식하는 스트레스를 유형화 하고, 각 유형의 특징을 확인하는 것이다. 이를 위해 Q방법을 활용하였다. P표본은 직업 군인 아내 36명으로 선정하였고, Q표본은 최종 36개의 진술문으로 구성하였다. 최종 분석에 활용된 P표본 30명이다. 분석 결과 군인 아내가 인식하는 스트레스의 유형은 4가지로 분류되었다. ‘경제적 부담 스트레스형’은 직업 군인의 이른 퇴직으로 노후대책에 대한 고민과 잦은 이동으로 인한 불필요한 지출 등의 어려움이 확인되었다. ‘자녀 양육 스트레스’은 잦은 이사와 환경 변화로 자녀의 교육문제, 친구관계, 성격형성 등에 대해 어려움을 호소하였고 남편의 잦은 부재로 아내가 혼자 부모 역할을 수행하는 것에 어려움이 나타났다. ‘부부관계 갈등 스트레스형’은 오랜 주말 부부로 각자 형성된 생활방식으로 갈등이 존재하였고, 부부의 대화 부족 등이 반복되어 부부관계에 갈등과 긴장을 초래하였다. ‘새로운 환경 적응 스트레스형’은 군인 아내 자신의 적응에 초점이 있는 것으로 잦은 이사로 새로운 환경에 적응하는 것의 어려움과 격오지의 편의시설, 문화시설, 의료시설 부족의 어려움이 분석되었다.
The purpose of this study was to categorize the stress perceived by wives of career soldiers and to identify the characteristics of each type. For this purpose, the Q method was used. The P-sample was selected from 36 wives of professional soldiers. P-sample of 30 people was used in the final analysis. The Q-statements were finally selected from 36 statements. As a result of the analysis, the stress types perceived by wives of career soldiers were analyzed into 4 types. The ‘economic burden stress type’ was found to be difficulties such as worries about retirement due to early retirement of career soldiers and unnecessary expenses due to frequent moves. The ‘child-rearing stress type’ was found to be difficulties in children’s education, relationships with friends, and personality development due to frequent moves and environmental changes. In addition, it was found that wives had difficulty in being parents alone due to the frequent absence of their husbands. The ‘marital conflict stress type’ was found to be conflicts caused by each person’s lifestyle in the case of weekend couples. This type was found to be conflicts and tensions caused by lack of communication between the couple. ‘New environmental adaptation stress type’ was analyzed to include difficulties in adapting to a new environment due to frequent moves by military families and difficulties caused by lack of convenient facilities, cultural facilities, and medical facilities in remote areas.
