본 연구에서는 비디오 모델링 기반 사회성 증진 프로그램이 신경발달장애 아동의 사회성 기술에 미치는 효과를 검증하였다. 연구에 참여한 신경발달장애(ASD와 ADHD) 아동 19명(실험집단 9명, 통제집단 10명)을 대상으로 S종합병원 치료실에서 12회기에 걸쳐 프로그램을 실시하였다. 본 연구에서 사회성 기술은 적응행동, 친사회적 행동, 자기조절력으로 나누어 측정하였다. 프로그램 효과를 알아보기 위해 두 집단 간에 사회성 기술 점수의 사전, 사후검사 점수 변화는 독립표본 t 검정을 통해 검증하였으며, 실험집단 아동의 개인별 사회성 기술의 사전, 사후검사 점수 변화는 그래프를 통해 확인하였다. 그 결과, 첫째, 비디오 모델링 기반 사회성 증진 프로그램은 전체 사회성 기술 점수에서는 실험집단과 통제집단 간에 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았으나 5개의 문항에서는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, 실험집단 아동의 개인별 사회성 기술의 사전, 사후검사 점수 변화는 부분적으로 긍정적인 변화가 나타났다. 이상의 연구 결과를 토대로 비디오 모델링 기반 사회성 증진 프로그램이 신경발달장애 아동에게 미친 영향과 관련된 요인들을 논의하고 향후 연구를 위한 제언을 하였다.
The present study aimed at investigating the effectiveness of a video modeling- based social skills program in an effort to enhance the social skills of children with neurodevelopmental disabilities. The study was conducted over 12 sessions in the treatment room of S General Hospital for 19 children with neurodevelopmental disorders (ASD and ADHD). In this study, social skills were measured by dividing them into adaptive behavior, prosocial behavior, and self-regulation. There were 10 participants in the control group and 9 participants in the experimental group. In order to demonstrate the effectiveness of the program, changes in pre-test and post-test social skills scores between the two groups were verified through an independent samples t test, and changes in pre- and post-test scores of individual social skills of children in the experimental group were confirmed through graphs. As a result, the video modeling-based social skills program did not show a statistically significant difference between the two groups in the overall social skills score, however a statistically significant effect on the 5 questions. And the difference in the pre- and post-test scores of individual social skills in the experimental group exhibited partially positive changes. These findings provide factors related to the impact of the video modeling-based social skills program on children with neurodevelopmental disabilities, and suggestions were discussed for future research.
