한국사회 소득, 자산, 부채의 연령, 기간, 코호트에 따른 변화 추이: 한국재정패널 2007년-2021년 자료를활용한 종단연구

This study aims to analyze the dynamics of household income, assets, and debt in Korea, with a particular focus on the influences of age, period, and cohort. Utilizing data from the first through fifteenth waves of the National Survey of Tax and Benefit (spanning 2007-2021), the analysis uses a total of 66,110 cases. The methodological approach is Age-Period-Cohort (APC) analysis, with the application of a ‘generalized additive regression model’ to estimate the effects of age, period, and cohort. The findings reveal that these three factors exert distinct impacts on changes in household income, assets, and debt. Notably, the effects of age, period, and cohort varied according to income level. Throughout the 2010s, disparities in household income, assets, and debt have been observed to widen based on income level. These results underscore the necessity of policy designs that take into account not only temporal changes but also age and cohort effects when addressing the issue of household economic inequality.
