본 연구에서는 노년기 알코올 의존성이 자녀관계만족도와 자아존중감을 거쳐 가족갈등에 미치는 영향을 파악하는데 연구의 목적이 있었다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 한국복지패널의 17차 데이터를 사용하였다. 65세 이상 남녀 노인 중 배우자와 성인자녀가 있고 술을 마시는 경우만 선별하였으며 최종적으로 총 772명의 데이터를 분석에 활용하였다. SPSS Win 24.0 ver과 SPSS PROCESS MACRO 4.3 ver 6번 모델을 이용하여 이중매개효과를 분석하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째 노년기 알코올 의존성은 가족갈등에 정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 즉 알코올 의존성이 높을수록 가족갈등이 높아졌다. 둘째 노년기 알코올 의존성은 가족갈등 간의 관계에서 자녀지지와 자아존중감의 이중매개효과가 검증되었다. 즉 알코올 의존성이 높을수록 자녀지지가 낮았으며 자녀지지가 높을수록 자아존중감이 높았고 자아존중감이 높을수록 가족갈등은 낮아졌다. 또한 노년기 알코올 의존성이 가족갈등에 미치는 영향력이 자녀지지와 자아존중감이 추가되었을 때 감소하였으며 이중매개의 간접효과 역시 유의하였다. 이러한 연구결과에 근거하여 노년기 알코올 의존성이 가족갈등에 미치는 영향을 감소시키기 위한 방안을 제안하였다.
The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of alcohol dependence in old age on family conflict through child relationship satisfaction and self-esteem. The 17th round of data from the Korean Welfare Panel was used to achieve this purpose. Among men and women aged 65 years or older, only those who had a spouse and adult children and drank alcohol were selected, and a total of 772 people's data were ultimately used for analysis. The dual mediation effect was analyzed using the SPSS Win 24.0 version and SPSS PROCESS MACRO 4.3 version 6 model. The main research results are as follows. First, alcohol dependence in old age had a positive effect on family conflict. In other words, the higher the alcohol dependence, the higher the family conflict. Second, the double mediating effect of child support and self-esteem in the relationship between alcohol dependence in old age and family conflict was verified. In other words, the higher the alcohol dependence, the lower the child support; the higher the child support, the higher the self-esteem, and the higher the self-esteem, the lower the family conflict. In addition, the influence of alcohol dependence in old age on family conflict decreased when child support and self-esteem were added, and the indirect effect of double mediation was also significant. Based on these research results, a plan was proposed to reduce the impact of alcohol dependence in old age on family conflict.
