본 논문은 프랑스 환대의 철학과 성경 전통의 도움을 받아 ‘이동하는 사람들’(난민)에 대한 더 깊은 이해를 추구하고자 할 것이다. 우리는 이동하는 사람들이 경험하는 정치적, 물리적 위기뿐 아니라 실존적 위기를 이야기할 것이다. 이러한 이해에 성경은 우리에게 좋은 이정표 역할을 할 것이다. 그리고 환대 윤리와 성경은 이동 중인 사람들의 실질적인 권리를 설명하고 이들에 대한 환대를 요구한다. 우리는 이론의 현실적 가능성으로 예수회 난민 서비스(JRS)가 시행하고 있는 프랑스 환영 프로젝트를 살펴보고, 난민 위기에 대한 영적, 정치적 대응으로 환대의 가능성을 생각하고자 한다
This paper will seek for a deeper understanding of ‘people on the move’ (refugees) with the help of the French philosophy of hospitality and the biblical tradition. We will discuss the existential as well as the political and physical crises experienced by people on the move. The Bible will serve as a good guide for us in this understanding. The ethics of hospitality and the Bible describe the practical rights of people on the move and call for hospitality toward them. We will take a closer look at the French Welcoming Project implemented by the Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) as a practical possibility of the theory and consider the possibility of hospitality as a spiritual and political response to the refugee crisis.
