본고는 한국어와 우크라이나어의 이유·원인을 나타내는 표현의 의미ㆍ통사적 특징과 제약을 살펴보고, 이를 근거로 한국어와 우크라이나어 이유·원인 표현의 대조 분석을 하여 한·우 이유 표현이 서로 어떻게 대응하는지 확인하는데에 목적이 있다. 이에 한국어와 우크라이나어에서 사용 빈도가 가장 높은 이유·원인 표현을 선택하여 연구 대상으로 삼았다. 즉, 한국어 연결 표현 ‘-아/어/ 여서, -(으)니까, -기 때문에, -(으)므로’를, 우크라이나어의 접속사 표현 ‘бо, тому що, адже, оскільки’를 선택하여 한국어와 우크라이나어 표현들이 각각 서로 어떤 의미ㆍ통사적 특성과 제약을 가지고 있는지 고찰하였다. 한국어와 우크라이나어의 이유ㆍ원인의 유사 표현을 대조한 결과 ‘-아/어/여서’와 ‘тому що’, ‘-(으)니까’와 ‘бо’, ‘-기 때문에’와 ‘адже’, ‘-(으)므로’와 ‘оскільки’가 대응관계임을 확인하였다. 이는 우크라이나어권 학습자를 위한 한국어 ‘이유·원인’ 연결 표현의 교육 방안을 제시할 수 있다는 점에서 본고의 의의가 있다.
The purpose of this paper was to examine the meaning, syntactic characteristics, and constraints of expressions representing reasons and causes of Korean and Ukrainian. Based on this analysis, contrasts between Korean and Ukrainian reasons and cause expressions were determined. How Korean and Ukrainian reason expressions corresponded to each other were also examined. Accordingly, four expressions of the reason and cause with the highest frequency of use in Korean and Ukrainian were selected as subjects of this study. Korean connective expressions ‘-아/어/여서’, ‘-(으)니까’, ‘-(으)므로’, ‘-기 때문에’ and Ukrainian conjunctions ‘бо’, ‘тому що’, ‘адже’, ‘оскільки’ were selected to examine the meaning, syntactic characteristics, and restrictions of Korean and Ukrainian expressions corresponding to each other. In addition, as a result of contrasting similar expressions of reasons and causes in Korean and Ukrainian, it was confirmed that ‘-아/어/여서’ and ‘тому що’, ‘-(으)니까’ and ‘бо’, ‘-기 때문에’ and ‘адже’, ‘-(으)므로’ and ‘‘оскільки’ were corresponding to each other. The significance of this paper is expected to present an educational plan of Korean “reason and cause” connection expressions for Ukrainian- speaking learners.
