이 논문은 실학박물관에 소장되어 있는 燕巖 朴趾源(1737-1805) 필사본 저작류의 개황을 점검하고 이 자료들이 지니는 종합적인 가치를 살펴본 글이다. 편의상 박지원 자신의 저작류 9종 그리고 그의 후손이나 주변인에 의해 만들어진 박지원 관련 저작류 5종으로 구분하여 차례대로 하나씩 고찰하였는데, 이를 종합한 가치는 아래와 같다. 첫째, 『燕巖集』 및 『熱河日記』의 초고본 계열의 이본이 다수 소장되어 있다. 둘째, 초장년기 및 중만년기에 정리된 소집 계열로서 중요도가 높은 자료들이 다수 소장되어 있다. 셋째, 이른바 朴宗采 편집본이라 할 수 있는 중요한 후손가장본의 일부를 확인할 수 있다. 넷째, 단국대 박물관 소장본 가운데서도 귀중한 자료로 인정받는 『沔陽雜錄』과 관련성이 높은 자료를 확인할 수 있다. 다섯째, 박지원 관련 혹은 주변 자료로서 가치가 높은 것들이 다수 소장되어있다. 이 논문은 실학박물관 소장 연암 박지원 및 그 주변인의 필사본 자료들을 개괄하여 정리한 글이기 때문에, 이들 필사본 각각을 정치하게 분석하여 그 가치와의의를 구체적으로 밝히는 후속 연구들이 이어질 필요가 있겠다. 아울러 단국대박물관과 실학박물관은 박지원 관련 필사본 저작류를 국내에서 가장 많이 소장하고 있는 곳이기 때문에, 이곳에서 소장된 자료들을 대상으로 우선 일정한 기준아래에 포괄하여 정리할 필요가 있겠다. 예컨대 박지원 자신의 수고본 및 수택본, 후손이나 주변인이 주관하여 필사한 후손 필사본과 전사본으로 구분한 다음, 다시 이 필사본들을 『연암집』 및 『열하일기』 이본 계열, 초장년기 및 중만년기소집 계열, 초고 및 산고 계열 등으로 구분하여 정리하는 것이다.
This paper examines the overview of the Yeonam(燕巖) Park Ji-won(朴趾源, 1737-1805)’s manuscript works in the museum of Silhak and examines the comprehensive value of these works. This paper divided it into 9 types of Park Ji-won's works and 5 types of works related to Park Ji-won created by his descendants or people around him, and examined them one by one. The comprehensive value is as follows. First, there are many original edition series of Yeonamjip(燕巖集) and Yeolhailgi(熱河日記). Second, there are many highly important works as a small collection series organized in early to middle age and middle to late life. Third, we can confirm part of the most important descendant's possession books, which can be said to be the edited version of Park Jong-chae(朴宗采). Fourth, among the collections of the Dankook University Museum, there is works that is highly related to Myeonyangjaprok(沔陽雜錄). Fifth, there are many valuable works related to Park Ji-won or surroundings. The Museum of Dankook University and the museum of Silhak have the largest collection of manuscript works related to Park Ji-won in Korea. Therefore, it is necessary to comprehensively organize these works under regular standards. It is divided into Park Ji-won's own sugobon(手稿本) and sutaegbon(手稿本), and descendant manuscripts and jeonsabon(轉寫本) copied by descendants or people around him. Again, these manuscripts are divided into Yeonamjip(燕巖集) and Yeolhailgi(熱河日記)’s different edition series, small collection series organized in early to middle age and middle to late life, original edition and sango(散稿) series.
