Objective: The purpose of this study is to analyze domestic research trends of mid-immigrant children. Methods: A total of 320 studies including journal research articles, master’s theses, and doctoral dissertations were selected by using the keyword ‘mid-immigrant’ children. Four criteria were used such as research period, research method, research subject’s age, and research main topic to analyze the research trends. Results: First, the studies on mid-immigrant children showed an increasing trend since 2011, with the most being published in 2017. However, the amount of research has dramatically decreased in 2022. Second, research method analysis indicated that the most of research were qualitative studies, and there were relatively few quantitative studies based on primary data. Third, the age of research subjects was in the order of high school students, middle school students, and adults, and there were almost no studies targeting early childhood. Fourth, as a result of analyzing the research topics, education-related topics showed the highest rate, followed by adjustment topics. Conclusions: Based on the results of the research trends on mid-immigrant children, future directions and academic suggestions for research on mid-immigrant children are discussed.
