이번 조사를 통해 학습자 작문에 나타나는 <지속성>을 나타내는 복합동사의 부자연스러운 예는 대부분 ｢V+続く｣의 부적절한 사용 때문인 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 중상급 학습자를 대상으로 <지속성>을 나타내는 복합동사에 대한 인식조사를 실시한 결과, ｢続く｣과 ｢続ける｣의 의미를 구분하고 있는 중상급 한국인 학습자 중에는 복합동사의 경우에도 ｢V+続く｣을 자동사로, ｢V+続ける｣을 타동사로 사용하고 있는 학습자가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 다음으로 NINJAL-LWP for BCCWJ와 NINJAL-LWP for TWC에서 코퍼스의 일본어 실례를 검색했다. 그 결과 ｢V+続く｣의 예에도 <지속성>을 나타내는 ｢降り続く｣ 등의 예가 있다는 것을 알 수 있었으나 ｢V+続く｣의 예는 모두 ｢V+続ける｣로 대체할 수 있는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 마지막으로 국립국어연구소 사이트 복합동사 렉시콘을 검색하여 <지속성>을 나타내지 않는 ｢V+続く｣ 예가 있다는 것을 확인하였다. <지속성>을 나타내지 않는 ｢V+続く｣의 예에는 ｢打ち続く｣와 ｢引き続く｣가 있으며, 이들 예는 후항 동사 ｢続く｣에 중점을 두고 있는 pV형의 어휘적 복합동사이기 때문에 ｢V+続ける｣로 대체할 수 없었다. 이상의 결과를 통해 데라무라(1984)에 언급된 바와 같이 교육현장에서 <지속성>을 나타내는 복합동사는 ｢V+続ける｣만을 다루고 ｢V+続く｣는 예외적으로 다룰 것을 제안한다. 또한 중급 이상의 학습자에게는 ｢V+続く｣에는 <지속성>을 나타내는 경우와 <지속성>을 나타내지 않는 경우가 있다는 것을 가르치고 사용에 주의하도록 한다.
This survey revealed that most of the unnatural examples of compound verbs indicating <continue> in learner composition were due to the inappropriate use of V+tsuzuku. Additionally, as a result of conducting a recognition survey on compound verbs indicating <continue> among intermediate and advanced level learners, I found that some intermediate and advanced level Korean learners used V+tsuzuku as an intransitive verb and V+tsuzukeru as a transitive verb. Next, I also explored how V+tsuzuku are used in the corpora from NINJAL-LWP for BCCWJ and NINJAL-LWP for TWC. As a result, examples such as furitsuzuku were found, but I found that all instances of V+tsuzuku’', which indicating <continue>, can be replaced with V+tsuzukeru. Finally, I also searched Compound Verb Lexicon of the National Institute for Japanese Language and Linguistics and found that there are examples of V+tsuzuku that do not express <continue>. Examples of V+tsuzuku that does not express <continue> include uchitsuzuku and hikitsuzuku, which are pV-type lexical compound verbs in which the emphasis is placed on the postfix verb tsuzuku. Therefore, it cannot be replaced with V+tsuzukeru. Based on the above, as mentioned by Teramura (1984), I propose that the teachers should teach the following: As for compound verbs indicating <continue>, we will only teach V+tsuzukeru, and treat examples such as furitsuzuku as an exception.
