Rough set based on the L-fuzzy neighborhood system is a general rough set model. This paper studies the structure-preserving properties of its interior and closure operators. For an L-fuzzy neighborhood system on a single universe, we define the neighborhood system reduction and find the upper and lower bounds of the interior and closure operators. We also show that different L-fuzzy neighborhood systems can produce the same interior and closure operators under certain conditions. For L-fuzzy neighborhood systems on two universes, we use mapping and consistent function to study structure preservation of the interior and closure operators of the two systems.
