서사-시간을 구축하는 자연-시간의 물리적 변조가 이야기의 흥미를 제고하거나 효과적인 전달에 도움을 주는 전통적 기법이라면 정서적 변조는 주로 이야기의 의미 제고 또는 주제 인식에 영향을 끼친다. 본고에서는 캐릭터 간의 거리와 특정 시간대의 정서적 유대 수준 사이의 함수에 주목하여 낯선 관계에서 특정 시간대에 대한 인식과 경험을 흡사하게 갖는 '공유' 및 친밀한 관계에서 특정 시간대를 각기 달리 인식하고 경험하는 '격리'를 살펴본다. 먼저 「무진기행」에서는 주인공과의 거리가 가까운 캐릭터와 전혀 관계가 없는 캐릭터 간의 위상이 역전되며, 심지어 후자는 주인공의 연인 ‘하인숙’의 위상까지 변화시킴을 확인할 수 있다. 이 과정에 개입하는 공유 현상에 의해 등장인물들을 포함해 ‘무진’ 및 ‘자정’이라는 시공간적 배경까지 전일론적 연대감이라는 깨달음으로 수렴되는데, 이는 시간의 정서적 변조 중 공유 현상이 보편적으로 담아내곤 하는 주제 의식이다. 다음 「눈 속에 흘린 당신 피의 흔적」에서는 뜻밖의 상처로 사별하는 신혼부부를 보여주는데, 아내가 병원에 입원한 후 신랑 빌리의 사고와 행적을 상세히 서술함으로써 격리 현상의 비정한 속성을 극대화한다. 네나의 죽음은 둘의 캐릭터, 만남과 연애 및 결혼 과정, 네나의 임신, 모든 사실을 깨달은 후 빌리가 목격한 축제 분위기 등의 에피소드와 맞물려 빌리의 실존적 외로움을 강조하며, 이 극단적 소외감은 정서적 변조 중 격리 현상이 주로 드러내는 주제 의식이다. 관계의 통상적 거리와 유대감 사이의 반비례 현상은 일종의 어긋남이어서 부자연스럽고 특이하다. 이 특수한 시간대를 제시하는 정서적 변조는 아이러니 수법에 속하며, 연대감과 소외감 모두 시간의 상대성에서 온다는 근대적 통찰을 재확인시킨다.

While the Physical anachrony of Nature-time that builds Narrative-time is a traditional technique that enhances the interest of a story or helps to tell it effectively, Emotional anachrony mainly affects the meaning of the story or the perception of the theme. In this paper, I will focus on the function between the distance between characters and the level of emotional bonding at a specific time period, and examine 'Sharing', which is having similar perceptions and experiences of a specific time period in unfamiliar relationships, and 'Isolation', which is perceiving and experiencing a specific time period differently in intimate relationships. First, in 「무진기행」, it can be seen that the status between a character who is close to the protagonist and a character who has nothing to do with the protagonist is reversed, and even the latter changes the status of the protagonist's lover ‘Ha In-sook’. By the Sharing phenomenon that intervenes in this process, the characters, as well as the spatio-temporal backgrounds of ‘Mujin’ and ‘Midnight’, converge into the realization of a sense of holistic solidarity, a thematic sense that the Sharing phenomenon in the Emotional anachrony often captures universally. The next, 「El rastro de tu sangre en la nieve」, it shows a newlywed couple who are bereaved due to an unexpected injury of bride, and maximizes the heartless characteristic of the Sharing phenomenon by detailing thoughts and conducts of Billy the groom, after Nena the bride is admitted to the hospital. Nena's death emphasizes Billy's existential loneliness in conjunction with episodes of their characters, their meeting, romance and marriage, Nena's pregnancy, and the festive atmosphere Billy witnessed after realizing everything, and this extreme alienation is a thematic sense that the Isolation phenomenon in the Emotional anachrony usually reveals. The phenomenon of inverse proportion between the normal distance and bond of a relationship is a kind of misalignment, so it is unnatural and unusual. The Emotional anachrony that presents this special time zone belongs to the method of irony, and reaffirms the modern insight that both solidarity and alienation come from the relativity of time.
