우리는 현재 다양한 아카이브를 보유하고 있으나 아카이브 간에 자료의 중복성은 물론이고 동일한 자료를 취급하고 있는 아카이브도 서로 연결하지 못한다는 문제점을 갖고 있다. 더불어 구축된 검색엔진이 한정된 검색만이 가능할 뿐 고급 검색의 기능을 수행하지 못하는 점도 아쉬운 부분이다. 디지털 아카이빙이 지향해야 할 방향성은, 이용자의 편의와 자료의 적절한 활용성에 있다. 이를 위해서는 정보 검색이 용이해야 한다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 목적 아래에 『한국구비문학대계』를 데이터베이스로 한 아카이브 시스템의 검색의 현황과 문제점을 살펴보고자 했다. 『한국구비문학대계』는 전국 전역의 60개 지역을 대상으로 1979년부터 1988년까지 총 82책으로 발간한 인문학적 자료들의 보고라 할 수 있다. 현재 『한국구비문학대계』의 디지털 자료를 검색할 수 있는 시스템은 한국구비문학대계의 <모바일웹>과 <한국학디지털아카이브>, 그리고 <깜짝새> 등이 있다. 본 연구는 이 세 개의 검색엔진을 토대로 앞으로 디지털 아카이브가 설화 연구적 측면에서 지향해야 할 방향과 개선되어야 할 기술적인 부분에 대해서 논의하는 동시에 <깜짝새>라는 말뭉치 검색프로그램을 통해 설화적 자료를 활용할 수 있는 연구방법론 을 새롭게 제안한다.
We currently have a variety of archives, but there is duplication of data between archives, and we are unable to connect archives that handle the same material. It is also disappointing that the built search engine is only capable of limited searches and cannot perform advanced search functions. The direction that digital archives should take is convenience for users and appropriate utilization of materials. To achieve this, information retrieval must be easy. With this purpose in mind, this study looks at the current state and problems of searching archive systems using 『An Outline of Korean Oral Literature』 as a database. 『An Outline of Korean Oral Literature』 can be described as a report on humanities materials published in a total of 82 volumes from 1979 to 1988, covering 60 regions across the country. Currently, systems that allow you to search for digital materials on the 『An Outline of Korean Oral Literature』 include the <Koreanology digital Archive> and the <Mobile Web> of The Academy of Korean Studies, and <SurpriseBird>. Based on these three search engines, this study substantially approaches the direction in which digital archives should be oriented in terms of narrative research and the technical parts that should be improved. In addition, we will propose a new research methodology that can utilize narrative materials using a word search program called <SurpriseBird>.
