본 연구는 하늘어린이집 영유아들의 놀이를 활성화하기 위해서 놀이에 대한 부모의 이해와 관심을 높일 수 있는 가정연계 방안을 모색한 실행연구이다. 2021년 11월부터 2023년 2월까지 3차시 실행과정으로 연구가 이루어졌고, 교사와 부모 면담 전사본, 스마트 알림장 기록, 놀이 관찰기록 등의 자료를 수집하고 분석하였다. 1차 실행은 놀이에 대한 부모의 관심 높이기, 2차 실행은다양한 놀이 방법을 부모와 공유하기, 그리고 3차 실행은 부모와 함께 놀이하기에 초점을 두고 적용한 후 결과를 분석하고 개선방안을 모색하였다. 연구결과, 영유아들은 놀이를 주도하고 놀이를전달하는 역할을 하게 되었고, 놀이에 대한 자신감을 형성하고 문제를 해결하는 모습을 보였으며, 놀이 자료를 새로운 방식으로 활용하고 사고를 확장하면서 배움의 기회를 가졌다. 부모들은 자녀의 놀이에 관심을 가지고 적극적으로 참여하게 되었고, 놀이를 통해서 나타난 자녀의 변화를 인식하게 되었으며, 놀이와 배움의 연결에 대한 이해를 증진함과 동시에 놀이중심 교육과정에 대한 신뢰를 형성하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 놀이 활성화 및 가정연계 방안을 다각적으로 모색하는연구가 이어지기를 기대한다.
This study is an action research that explored methods of family involvement aimed at increasing parents’ understanding and interest in play to facilitate children’s play at Hanul childcare center. The study was conducted from November 2021 to February 2023 as a three-phase implementation process. Transcripts of teacher and parent interviews, records of on-line communication between teachers and parents, and play observation records were collected and analyzed. The first phase of implementation focused on increasing parents’ interest in play, the second phase focused on sharing various play methods with parents, and the third phase focused on playing together with parents. As a result, young children became more competent in initiating play and conveying their play to parents. Their confidence in play was increased. In addition, the children solved problems on their own, and had the opportunity to learn as they used play materials in new ways and expanded their thinking. Parents became more interested in play, actively participated in their children’s play, and recognized changes in their children through play. They also improved their understanding of the connection between play and learning as well as developing trust in the play-based curriculum. Based on the results of this study, further research is expected to explore various ways to promote play and connect with families in early childhood education settings.
