이 논문은 문학치료연구에서 양적연구방법론의 적용을 위한 방안과 필요성을 제시하는 것을 목표로 한다. 이에 양적 연구의 유형 및 적용을 위한 방법론을 설명하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 연구의 목적에 따른 분류로 기초 연구와 응용 연구, 인식론적 접근방법에 따른 분류로 양적 연구와 질적 연구, 연구방법에 따른 분류로 실험 연구와 준실험 연구, 자료 수집 시점에 따른 분류로 종단적 연구와 횡단적 연구, 가설검증 여부에 따른 분류로 탐색적 연구와 확인적 연구를 제시하였다. 이와 같은 다양한 양적연구방법들을 문학치료연구에 적용하기 위한 일반적인 고려사항으로 양적연구방법에 적합한 연구 주제와 문제의 탐색, 변인의 측정방법, 자료수집 방법, 표집방법, 통계 분석 능력, 연구윤리 준수가 필요하며, 더불어 문학치료 자체의 특성에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 연구자들이 연구주제와 연구방법론을 탐색을 통해 적용방안을 모색해보는 것이 필요하다. 이를 통해 문학치료적 개입의 효과에 대한 객관적인 증거로 활용될 수 있으며, 효과적인 개입방법을 개발 및 평가할 수 있고, 연구 규모 확장 및 확산에 기여할 수 있다. 이에 양적연구방법이 문학치료 과정의 적용과 그 활용을 돕기 위한 수단으로써 활용되길 기대한다.
This paper aims to present measures and needs for the application of quantitative research methodologies in literary therapy research. Accordingly, it was intended to explains the type of quantitative research and the methodology for its application. Thus, basic and applied research are classified according to the purpose of the study(e.g., quantitative and qualitative studies) and classified according to epistemological approaches. According to the research method, experimental, and quasi-experimental studies, longitudinal and cross-sectional studies are classified according to the time of data collection. Exploratory and confirmatory studies were presented as classifications according to whether or not hypothesis was verified. As a general consideration for applying these various quantitative research methods to literary therapy research, the exploration of research topics and problems suitable for quantitative research methods, measurement methods of variables, data collection methods, sampling methods, statistical analysis ability, and compliance with research ethics are required, in addition, based on an understanding of the characteristics of literary therapy itself, it is necessary for researchers to explore research topics and research methodologies to find ways to apply them. Through this, it can be used as objective evidence of the effectiveness of literary therapeutic intervention, effective intervention methods can be developed and evaluated, and they can contribute to the expansion and spread of research. Therefore, it is expected that quantitative research methods will be used as a means to help apply and utilize the literary treatment process.
