This study investigated the influencing relationships among emotional intelligence, ego-resilience, and career preparation behavior and conducted research verifying the moderating effects of social support in the influence of ego-resilience on career preparation behavior. Data were collected from 302 culinary major college students from April 1 to December 1, 2022, which were analyze using the SPSS/WIN 22.0 statistical package program. As a result of the study, self-awareness of emotions, emotional utilization, and emotional regulation of positive future orientation of emotional intelligence showed a significant positive (+) influence on the positive future orientation of ego-resilience. Emotional utilization and emotional regulation were found to indicate a significant positive (+) influence on the diversity of interest of ego-resilience. Positive future orientation of ego-resilience and diversity of interest showed a significant positive (+) influence on career preparation behavior. In the influencing relationship between positive future orientation of ego-resilience and career preparation behavior, professor support exhibited significant moderating effects. It is suggested that this study will provide measures to vitalize the moderating effects of social support and enhance career competencies of college students through improving their emotional intelligence and ego-resilience, thereby positively impacting career preparation behavior.
