본고는 구술 자료 및 구술 말뭉치의 개념과 필요성에 대하여 다루면서 구술 말뭉치 구축을 위한 방안을 제시하였다. 구술 자료는 사실성과 범용성을 추구해야 한다. 특히 대규모의 구술 말뭉치로 통합하여 활용할 필요가 있다. 그런데 현실적으로 그리하지 못했다는 문제 의식이 이 논의의 배경이었다. 특히 전사 규약과 같은 형식적 요건이 문제라고 보고 이에 대한 진단과 방안을 제시하였다. 2장에서는 학술어로서 ‘구술’과 ‘구술 발화’를 구분하고 이에 대한 개념을 정리하였다. 그리고 이 정의와 기존 논의를 바탕으로 ‘구술 말뭉치’를 정의하고 구술 말뭉치가 갖추고 있어야 하는 특성을 정리하였다. 그리고 이러한 특성에 부합하는 구술 말뭉치를 구축해야 하는 이유를 다루었다. 3장에서는 기존 구술 자료를 말뭉치화할 때 발생할 주요 문제점을 구술 자료의 형식적 측면을 중심으로 다루어 보았다. 3.2.에서는 기존 자료의 문제점을 진단하고, 3.3.에서는 구술 자료가 형식적으로 취해야 할 기본적인 방향성을 제시해 보았다.
This paper addresses the concept and importance of oral narrative materials and proposes a blueprint for building an oral narrative corpus. Oral narrative materials should pursue realism and versatility. In particular, oral narrative materials must be integrated into a large-scale oral narrative corpus for effective utilization. However, the context of this discussion underscores an awareness of the disparity between perception and reality. In particular, formal requirements such as transcriptional guidelines were considered to be a problem, and corresponding diagnoses and solutions were proposed. In Chapter 2, “oral act” and “oral narratives” are classified and defined as academic terms. Based on this definition and previous discussions, an “oral narrative corpus” was defined. Moreover, the characteristics of oral narrative corpora were summarized. The reason for constructing an oral narrative corpus aligning with these characteristics was also discussed. Chapter 3 dealt with the key problems involved in constructing existing oral narrative materials as a corpus, focusing on the formal aspects of oral narrative materials. In 3.2., existing data problems were diagnosed; in 3.3., the formal direction oral narrative materials should take was presented.
