본 연구의 목적은 지역사회와 연계한 유아 인성교육 프로그램을 개발하고 그 효과를 살펴보는것이다. 연구자는 6단계 절차인 문헌 고찰, 요구도 조사, 시안 구성, 예비연구 시행, 전문가협의회 진행, 최종안 완성에 따라 지역사회와 연계한 유아 인성교육 프로그램을 개발하고, 그 효과를 전 라남도의 G 어린이집 만 5세 유아 15명(실험집단)과 S 어린이집 만 5세 유아 15명(비교집단)을 대 상으로 살펴보았다. 실험집단은 지역사회와 연계한 유아 인성교육 프로그램에, 비교집단은 누리과 정에 따른 인성교육 활동에 참여하였다. 실험 처치는 2022년 6월 27일부터 10월 7일까지 방학과 추석을 제외한 13주 동안 총 30회 시행되었다. 연구결과, 지역사회와 연계한 유아 인성교육 프로 그램은 자신과 타인을 존중하고 타인과 더불어 살아가는 태도를 기르는 교육내용과 교수-학습 방 법, 평가 등으로 구성되었다. 또한 본 프로그램을 통해 유아의 인성덕목이 유의하게 향상한 것으 로 나타났다. 즉, 지역사회와 연계한 유아 인성교육 프로그램이 유아의 인성 발달에 효과적이다. 이처럼 본 연구는 지역사회와 연계한 유아 인성교육 프로그램의 교육적 효과를 보여줌으로써 유 아 인성교육의 새로운 모델을 제시하는 데 그 의의가 있다.
This study aims to develop a young children’s character education program connecting to local community and to investigate its effects. The program was developed according to a 6-step process. Its effects were observed from fifteen 5-year-old children of G preschool (experimental group) and fifteen 5-year-old children of S preschool (comparative group) in Jeollanam-do. The experimental group participated in the young children’s character education program connecting to local community, while the comparative group did in character education activities according to the Nuri curriculum. The experiments were conducted thirty times for thirteen weeks from the 27th of June to the 7th of October except for vacation and Chuseok. The results were as follows. The young children’s character education program connecting to local community consisted of educational contents, teaching-learning methods, and evaluation to promote attitudes respecting for oneself and others as well as living together with others. Moreover, the children’s character virtues were improved meaningfully through the program, confirming the program’s effectiveness. This study is significant in that it presented a new model of young children’s character education by showing the educational effects of a young children’s character education program connecting to local community.
