대표적인 암수범죄 중 하나인 마약 범죄는 그 체계나 구조에 관한 구체적인 연구가 부족하다. 그러나 마약 범죄는 마약이라는 실물이 제조·거래되거나 마약을 투약하는 등 최종 행위가 오프라인에서 이루어질 수밖에 없다는 점에서 이러한 행위가 발생한 장소의 특성을 연구하는 것이 범죄 수사 및 예방적 단속에 있어 상당한 실마리로 작용할 것으로 보인다. 이에 본 연구는 2020년부터 2021년 상반기까지 서울특별시에서 발생해 경찰 범죄통계에 등록된 마약 범죄를 대상으로 유흥시설 수, 생활인구 등 사회지리적 관점에서 마약 범죄 발생에 영향을 끼칠 수 있는 후보 요인들을 선정하여, 핫스팟 분석과 공간회귀분석을 통해 마약 범죄 발생과 그 요인들의 영향을 정성적, 정량적으로 분석하였다. 전역적 공간자기상관 분석(Moran's I)을 통해 마약 범죄 발생과 영향요인들의 공간적 자기상관성을 확인할 수 있었고, LISA 분석을 통해 핫스팟을 도출하였다. 또한 선형회귀모형과 공간회귀모형 중 공간시차모형과 공간오차모형을 상호 비교하면서 가장 적합한 모형을 선정하고 상관성을 가지는 영향요인을 찾아내었으며, 공간시차모형이 일반선형회귀모형에 비해 설명변수의 왜곡을 줄이고 결과의 정확성을 높인다는 점을 확인하였다. 본 논문에서 발견한 변수를 통해 국내 마약 범죄에 대한 이해를 도모하고, 국내 맞춤형 효과적 마약 억제 정책을 시행하기 위한 연구의 기반으로 활용할 수 있기를 기대한다.
Drug crimes, one of the major hidden crimes, lack specific research on their system or structure. As drugs are made, traded and used in physical space, studying the spatial features of these actions are expected to be considerable clues in crime investigation and prevention. This study selected potentially influential variables on drug crimes from a social geographic perspective, such as the number of entertainment facilities and population, for drug crimes that occurred in Seoul from 2020 to the first half of 2021, which were then used in hot spot analysis and spatial autocorrelation analysis for quantitative, qualitative analysis on the amount of influence. Through global spatial correlation analysis (Moran's I), the spatial dependence of drug crime occurrence and influencing factors was confirmed, and hot spots were derived through LISA analysis. In addition, among the spatial regression models, the most suitable model was selected by comparing it with SLM(Spatial Lag Model), SEM(Spatial Error Model), and linear regression model, also finding the influencing factors with correlation. Compared to the linear regression model, it was confirmed that the SLM can reduce the distortion of the explanatory variable and increase the accuracy of the results. With the variables found in this study, enhanced understanding on domestic drug crimes, and a research base for effective domestic-specific drug prevention policies are expected.
