We report a case of a 31-year-old female presented with recurrent sore throat and dyspneaeven after tonsillectomy and repeated adenoidectomy. Hypertrophic lingual tonsil was re-moved via transoral robotic surgery and was confirmed as lymphoid follicular hyperplasia bypathological examination. The analysis of the distribution and the mean fluorescence intensityof T cells after stimulation with relevant cytokines showed impaired differentiation of naïve Tcells into memory T cells. As such, defective T cell immunity had made the patient suscepti-ble to repetitive upper respiratory infection.
