Following the lifting of social distancing due to COVID-19 in April 2022, the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries is promoting various marine leisure sports tourism activation policies in earnest. In the meantime, marine leisure sports competitions and festivals have been reduced to non-face-to-face events or canceled due to the impact of COVID-19, limiting opportunities for the public to enjoy marine leisure. With the movement to resume tourism after the lifting of social distancing, public interest in outdoor and clean tourist destinations such as the sea is increasing. The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries prepares for this increase in demand in the upcoming summer of 2022, and announced policies to be promoted in 2022 so that the marine leisure tourism industry can serve as a priming water for revitalizing the local economy and promoting the tourism industry.
